So now we're on our countdown now til we jet off back to America and back to Jacksonville.
5 sleeps and counting......first stop Philly.
Niamh and I need to refrain from rapping the opening credits to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air - Mr Will Smith could not be happy with our efforts I'm sure.

On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school..........."
Paul has been a bit thrown by the partial shutdown of the US Government and subsequent closures of Federal parks, museums etc and is having to revise our itinary. This is a little bit out of his comfort zone at this stage because (as you know) he loves a list and a plan. We had planned on visiting Independance Hall and The Liberty Bell - these are currently closed and so we will check out some other things instead. It's disappointing but at least we aren't going to Washington DC for our stopover en route to Florida because the Smithsonian Museums and many monuments including The Lincoln Memorial are shut. I did have a conversation with Paul a couple of weeks ago wondering if we could change our flights to go to Washington DC instead of Philly - Paul said no, it wasn't possible to change now. Looks like fate played a hand there...........
So now, it's just the suitcases to pack - I'm lacking motivation in that area at the moment. It'll end up being last minute for sure.
